A security vulnerability affects the NVRmini 2 Network Video Recorder and the ReadyNAS Surveillance application that allows an attacker to reset the administrator password through the web management interface. This interface is exposed to the internet and can be accessed without authentication in earlier versions of the Nuuo firmware (before v1.7.6). In later versions, the attacker needs to know an administrative user password to exploit this vulnerability. This exploit has been successfully tested on several versions of the NVRmini 2 and the ReadyNAS Surveillance devices.
